DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Chinatown Community Development Center (CCDC) and Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA) are joint partners in the development of Casa Adelante - 1515 South Van Ness. Both non-profit organizations are BIPOC-led, with over 40 years of experience in providing housing and community services in San Francisco. CCDC and MEDA have successfully completed two affordable housing projects as partners, Casa Adelante - 1296 Shotwell and Casa Adelante - 2060 Folsom, which created a total of 283 new affordable apartments in the Mission.

CHINATOWN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Chinatown CDC  is a place-based community development organization in San Francisco serving primarily the Chinatown neighborhood and other areas including North Beach and the Tenderloin. CCDC is a community development organization with many roles-as neighborhood advocates, organizers and planners, and as developers and managers of affordable housing. CCDC believes in a comprehensive vision of community, a quality environment, a healthy neighborhood economy, and active voluntary associations. It is committed to the empowerment of low-income residents, diversity and coalition building, and social and economic justice. CCDC will be the property manager and social services provider.

MISSION ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY

MEDA’s Community Real Estate Program was launched at the end of 2013 through the Mission Promise Neighborhood initiative as a hard-hitting response to the displacement challenges happening to low-income Latino families in the Mission District of San Francisco. MEDA’s Community Real Estate Program develops real estate from site identification to asset management, with the Mission District in San Francisco as our primary geography. Preserving and producing real estate as our means to stabilizing and strengthening our community. A joint MEDA-CCDC partnership will own the property long-term.
