Hello Neighbors,
Our vertical progress at Casa Adelante – 1515 South Van Ness has risen yet another floor with part of Level 3 completed. You’ll notice that Level 4 work has begun on the west side as we steadily continue upwards. In the coming weeks, you’ll begin to see us working on the rough-ins on Level 1 now that we’re a few floors above with the concrete floors. Rough-ins are an essential phase of construction where plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems are installed before walls and finishes are completed.
Update for October 17th
During the last couple of weeks, we have completed the concrete pours on Level 3 West and Level 3 East, as well as started concrete columns on Level 3. The project team is now underway to install mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) lines in the Level 4 West area, in preparation for the concrete pour scheduled toward the end of October.
The concrete deck at Level 4 East is being formed in the next couple of days, which will be followed by installation of rebar, MEP lines and post-tensioned cables – in time for the concrete pour in early November.
Our rainy season has arrived with this week’s past storm. To reduce the volume of standing water on site, we have backfilled crushed rock between the building and the excavated soil perimeter. In addition, we are maintaining submersible pumps in the low areas to pump water out of the job site and into the drainage pipes.
