Construction Update #11 - November 14, 2025
Hello Neighbors,
It’s on to Level 5! We finished up our Level 4 concrete pours earlier this week and have begun setting the rebar and post-tension cables for Level 5. In another project milestone, you’ll notice that a personnel lift, or a temporary elevator, was installed along Shotwell Street. As we go up in floors, it’s only natural to need a lift to move people and materials up and down the superstructure.
Update for November 14th
You have probably recognized the repeated flow of construction activities on Levels 4 and 5 were quite similar to Levels 2 and 3. In the last couple of weeks, we have finished pouring all of level 4 slab and columns concrete. This week, the workers are on Level 5 to install all the MEP in-slab conduit and penetrations, followed shortly thereafter by installation of post-tension cables.
The personnel lift has been installed on the eastern side of the project. We’ll ensure pedestrian safety and provide clear passage near the corner of Shotwell and 26th Streets where delivery trucks are unloading materials to bring them up the building in the personnel lift.
We are on track to pour the concrete for the Level 5 West area in mid-November and the Level 5 East area in early December. In addition, the Level 5 concrete columns will be poured over the next few weeks.
One of the newest activities on site is the layout and installation of rough-ins for mechanical, electric and plumping (MEP) trades and metal stud framing. A rough-in is where plumbing, electrical, and HVAC lines are installed inside walls or floors before the surfaces are sealed up later. These activities will continue up the building and typically follow 3 to 4 floors behind the next concrete slab to be poured.
